ABOUT ME

My entrepreneurial journey

My entrepreneurial journey began in 2007 when I left my full-time job at the Daily Mail newspaper and founded Talk to the Press, the UK’s first and leading online press agency, earning multiple prestigious awards along the way.

In 2009, I founded The Notting Hill Shopping Bag Company, which sells now-iconic tote bags to visitors to London’s Portobello Road, and I remain active in this venture to this day.

In 2014, I successfully exited Talk to the Press to SWNS Media Group, marking a significant milestone in my business career.

I went on to create and exit the Amazon-only beauty brand, Luminositie (exited 2017), and joined forces with Steve Bolton to build one of London’s most prominent digital advertising agencies, Bolt Digital.

Specialising in e-commerce, Bolt Digital worked with over 200 brands, largely in the beauty and FMCG verticals, and served as the growth partner for numerous household-name British brands.

In 2021, I established DTC Live, the UK’s leading eCom, DTC, and growth community. DTC Live supports over 4,500 retail, e-commerce, and tech brands through education and events, and its conference won Best E-commerce Event at the Flame Awards.

I exited DTC Live following its acquisition by Rainy City in July 2024.

Through Tash Partners, my team and I provide high-value consulting and Non-Executive Director expertise, supporting well-funded, ambitious companies and investment funds with actionable strategies, offshore and tech-based solutions for growth, and measurable results.

We also manage a strategic portfolio of equity stakes in innovative, fast-growth companies, e-commerce technology, and fast-growth brands.

Where appropriate, I personally act as a strategic advisor to my portfolio companies, leveraging my experience to help scale operations and grow value.

My elite C-suite networking community, Tash Talks, champions the very best in female founders, tech, and AI platforms through a dynamic TV show, a weekly newsletter, and engaging vibrant events.

I'm also a passionate advocate for fostering entrepreneurship in the younger generation and am the founder of Biz Kids, a platform that, in 2024, reached over 24 million Gen A and Gen Z viewers across Tiktok and Youtube and spread education through the release of two viral pop songs.

Biz Kids inspires an entrepreneurial mindset in children around the world through hands-on, experiential learning in topics like entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and personal development.

The full Biz Kids library of content lives on YouTube, where it remains free for enterprising children, parents seeking to teach their children about business, and homeschooling families.

I serve on the board of CEW, the UK’s leading trade organisation for beauty brands, and am an ambassador for Meta’s She Means Business initiative, founded by Sheryl Sandberg, and part of a team that has trained over 100,000 female entrepreneurs in social media. I'm also an ambassador for Child Bereavement UK.

Speaking

I speak regularly about retail, eCom trends and marketing, both on stage and as a podcast guest.

Events I’ve spoken at include Stylist at London’s Business Design Centre and Top Drawer at London’s Olympia, as well as hosting DTC Live conferences in London and Manchester.

Books

I'm the author of two leading books – Stand Out Online and The Million Dollar Blog.

Stand Out Online is a bible for CEOs and business leaders who want to create a powerful personal brand, while The Million Dollar Blog reveals how to turn a blog into a successful money-making machine and was a best-seller, receiving coverage on Mail Online and BBC Radio.

Media commentary

I am one of the national and trade media’s go-to commentators on entrepreneurship, beauty, the economy and small business and regularly appear on both the BBC and GB News to give my opinion on retail, consumer and e-commerce trends and issues.
